2010 Rose Scholarship

April 25, 2009 (Knoxville, TN) — The University of Tennessee Men's Rugby Club announced the recipients of the 2010 Rose Scholarship at its annual awards banquet on Friday night.

The Rose Scholarship is awarded each year to players that have distinguished themselves in the area of strength and conditioning while playing rugby at Tennessee. This award was created by UT Old Boy Jay Blandford, and administered by Mick Larrabee, a specialist in strength and conditioning who has served as the trainer and physical therapist for the club for several years. Awards are presented to the top performers on a series of strength and conditioning tests. This year the one top performer will receive a $500 scholarship to be applied towards the student's fall semester tuition.
