2009 Sexton Scholarship Awards

April 25, 2009 (Knoxville, TN) - The University of Tennessee Men's Rugby Club announced the recipients of the 2009 Richard Sexton Scholarship at its annual awards banquet on Friday night.

The Sexton Scholarship is awarded each year to players that have distinquished themselves both on and off the field as dedicated club members.

For 2009, Sexton Scholarships are awarded to the following club members:

Hunter Lee (lock) has also just completed his 4th year with UTRFC and is a 2005 graduate of Middle Tennesse Christian School (Murfreesboro, TN). Hunter served as the club VP for the 2008/2009 academic year. Hunter is studing Execise Science at UT.

Gabe Woodson, a 3rd year player from Knoxville and a 2006 graduate of Karns High School. Gabe holds down part time employment and also finds time to volunteer as a coach with Karns High School where he also played.
