Goff Invited to Eagle Sevens Camp
UT's Benji Goff received an invitation to the USA Sevens Team assembly held in Chula Vista, California from May 08 to May 15. Goff is competing for a roster spot for the Scotland / England leg of the IRB World Sevens Series.
National Team coach Al Caravelli was on hand in Marietta for the National Collegiate Round of 16 Tournament and subsequently offered Goff the opportunity to attend the final assembly of the USA Sevens National Team. The camp is held at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista.
Goff, a fourth year student from Brentwood, began his rugby career at Brentwood High School where he led the Brumbies to multiple state championships. At Tennessee he has served at captain of the rugby team and has been named to MidSouth and South collegiate all-star teams. In 2008 Goff was named to a Collegiate All-American and in 2009 he captained the South all-stars to two victories in the National Collegiate All-star Championship.
