Defending National Champs End Volunteer Season
Cal Defeats UT 65-3 to Advance to Semi-Finals

April 17(Berkeley, CA) - Tennessee Advanced to the USA Rugby Elite Eight and earned the opportunity to square off with the defending national champions, the Cal Golden Bears. Cal proved every much as formidable as anticipated as they used their size, speed, and depth to race to a 65-3 victory. Cal used only three starters in dispatching of Minnesota on the previous day by the score of 71-17 while the Volunteers earned a hard fought victory over Dartmouth.

Cal left little doubt that they are the favorites to win yet another national championship.
