Volunteers welcome return to the field with win over Mississippi State
February 20, 2010 (Starkeville, Mississippi) — Tennessee defeated Mississippi State on Saturday in Starkeville to move to 2-0 in league play. The Volunteers scored eight tries on the way to a 51-6 victory over the Bulldogs. Mason Howard scored three tries and Sammy Anderson pitched it a total of 14 points on one try, three conversions and a penalty kick.

Thanks to the family and fans that make the trip to Starkeville and special thanks to Mississippi State for their hospitality and ongoing commitment to our sport.
