Volunteers overtake Vanderbilt in rare Thursday night match
March 05, 2010 (Nashville, Tennessee) — Tennessee defeated Vanderbilt under the lights in a rare midweek game in Nashville. Both teams were entering spring break so the match was moved into the week to keep the SEC schedule moving and allow players from both teams some much needed down time during the break.

Tennessee, coming off a very physical match with Indiana the prior weekend, used a good combination of running and kicking to keep the ball in space against the Commodores. Vandy fought hard at the break down and battled for 80 minutes but simply couldn't string together enough possession to keep pace on the scoreboard.

Thanks to all the family, friends and alumni from Middle Tennessee that came out to catch the Volunteers in action.

UT Old Boys on the sidelines: Scott Randolph, Andy Wiske, Will Hoeppner, Omar Tinko, Kyle Dimeola, Jay Blandford, Luck Woods, Raysheid Mata, Jonathan Pledger, Zack Murphy, Evan Harris, Brian Silkwood, Eric Peterson, Brett Jones, Thad Jones, Matt Schultz (probably more to come as we remember...).
