March 13, 2021 (Nashville)  Tennessee fell to Nashville Rugby Club in the spring season opener on Saturday 8-5.

The teams that combined for 68 points in October, held each other to 1 try each in the rematch.  A penalty kick midway through the second half was the decider.  The predictably hard hitting contest was a battle for an entire 80 minutes with each team misfiring on quality scoring opportunities.  6 UT freshmen got their first hostile action of the year and announced the arrival of the next generation of Volunteers.

The Volunteers now head to Columbia, South Carolina on March 20 to take on another familiar foe.  Tennessee then returns home for another rematch with Nashville on March 27.
