The Men's Rugby Club at the University of Tennessee is excited to announce the Robertson Communications and Recruiting Internship.
The Robertson Internship is available to a selected full time undergraduate student with an interest in communications, promotion, and public relations. Funded by the Butch Robertson Endowed Scholarship Fund and administered through the Financial Aide and Career Development, the internship is for the academic year with a stipend of $1000 each semester.
Under the direction of the Head Coach, the UT Men’s Rugby Communications and Recruiting Intern provides promotional and administrative support for media relations, social media management, on and off campus recruiting, management and oversight of fundraising strategies, and game day promotion and event management. No prior experience in the sport of rugby or club membership is required.
The internship and endowment are named for Butch Robertson who has just finished his 44th year coaching, recruiting, promoting, and managing the Men's Rugby Team at UT. This intern position will provide Butch and the entire coaching staff a better opportunity to focus on player development on and off the field.
