The Volunteers take two in Cincinnati to end the Labor Day Weekend trip to Ohio at 4-0.   UT started slow but managed to pull away in the second half of the first match for a 22-0 victory.  Much the same in the reserve match with the Vols using a strong second half to claim a 39-5 victory.

The stop in Cincinnati saw a shuffle of the line up from the day before but results remained about the same.  Strong scrums and aggressive attacks on the gain line.  Handling errors, a lack of patience,  and bad luck cost the Vols early.  After a 7-0 halftime break, the Vols ran across 3 tries in the second half while holding onto the shut out.

Some young Vols really showed what they can do in the reserve match scoring 8 tries; 3 by freshmen and 2 by sophomores.

Again the sideline was clad in orange as so many traveled with the team to support.

After an off weekend, the Vols open conference play with a trip to Marietta to take on Kennesaw State University in a rematch of the 2019 Conference Championship match.
