4 Raptors ink with Tennessee on Ravenwood signing day

May 3, 2017 (Brentwood, Tennessee) Graham Wallace was among four student athletes at Ravenwood High School to sign Volunteer Rugby Scholarship papers on Wednesday to attend the University of Tennessee.  Head Coach Marty Bradley was on hand to welcome the newest Volunteers to the UT Rugby family.

The Volunteer Rugby Scholarship provides a combination of player stipend, full player kit and/or the waiver of the first year team fees for the freshman year. This combination of benefits is unique to each recipient and based on academic performance, rugby experience and character, commitment and devotion to the game as defined by the Tennessee Rugby Maxim:  Family-School-Rugby.  While many very talented incoming freshmen commit to play for the Volunteers each fall, only a few are also selected for the honor of receiving the Volunteer Rugby Scholarship.

Graham, the son of Phil and Jill Wallace, has played rugby throughout high school having also excelled as a linebacker in football for the Raptors. The 6'1" / 210 lb forward has seen action at lock, flanker and even played some fullback on occasion.

Wallace is a 4 year participant with the Tennessee Tri-Stars and a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to study computer engineering at Tennessee with a minor in Business Administration.
